About the Summer School
The IEEE RAS Summer School brings together students, young professionals, and researchers for a week of focused work on robotics — specifically, on machines that move on their own and machines that are operated from a distance. It’s run by the IEEE Robotics & Automation Society’s DeKUT Student Branch, with oversight from faculty advisors.
The program is split across three technical tracks — autonomous mobility, remote and teleoperated systems, and perception and edge intelligence — each running lectures in the morning and hands-on lab work in the afternoon. It closes with a capstone showcase, where teams present what they’ve built over the week.
